James McMillan-Clyne returns to Actuation Lab as Graduate R&D Engineer
We are thrilled to welcome back last year’s summer Intern, James McMillan-Clyne, who now joins us as a Graduate R&D Engineer.
Our company’s mission is to become the UK’s foremost innovator in industrial hardware by building a company that attracts and nurtures world-class talent. James is an excellent example of Actuation Lab living up to our mission, starting the nurturing process early, investing in and developing university students into key employees within the company.
Since his internship, James completed his Masters in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Bristol. Reflecting on this new role, he shared his enthusiasm for applying the experience he gained from theoretical and practical experiments, to his work at Actuation Lab, especially in the field of flow analysis.
CTO Michael Dicker added ‘We are all happy to have last year’s intern, James, returning to work for Actuation Lab after graduating from University of Bristol. Amongst a range of other tasks, we are hoping James will get to put some of those aero skills into practice, developing flow trims for our control valves. As such, it seemed only fitting to hand over “the big tank” to him, which forms part of a flow test facilities’.
Meet the rest of our growing team of innovators and advisors.
